Bonfire Night horror as SIX people injured in hit and run on Manchester street

Six people were injured after being hit by a car in a horror hit and run on Bonfire Night. Emergency services were called to reports of a vehicle striking pedestrians on Bob Massey Close in Openshaw at around 8.30pm.

It is understood people had been gathering in the street for Bonfire Night celebrations when the vehicle was driven into a number of pedestrians.

One person claimed his daughter was attending a bonfire. Six people were taken to hospital from the scene with injuries. The driver failed to stop at the scene after the crash.
