Wanderers is at the University of Bolton Stadium against the Gloucestershire side for the first ever meeting between the two sides.
The Bolton manager has made a total of five changes from the side which lost 3-2 to Crewe Alexandra in the EFL Trophy. Billy Crellin keeps his place in goal, while the back three lines up as Ricardo Almeida Santos, Alex Baptiste and Reiss Greenidge who makes his Wanderers debut.
Harry Brockbank and George Taft drop out of the team. Gethin Jones comes in to replace Jak Hickman, while Liam Gordon retains his place at left wing-back.
Tom White and the returning Brandon Comley look set to start in central midfield, with Antoni Sarevic in the number 10 role, with Ali Crawford dropping to the bench.
