Bolton Wanderers have agreed wage deferrals with its players and management team. A statement from chairman Sharon Brittan and Westhoughton-born board member Michael James has confirmed the move following 'brief and amicable' discussions between all parties.
Both players and the management team made clear to the Wanderers board the desire to 'play their part' and support the club.
The club is 'extremely thankful' for the support given by the players and management at this time. Wanderers have said there is 'very little income' coming in to either the club or the Bolton Whites Hotel and that it is 'imperative' to keep costs down so that a rebuild can take place at the earliest opportunity.
