Body of woman found near M62 motorway

The body of a woman has been found near the M62 motorway following a desperate search. Carole Potts was reported as missing by her family at around 10.30pm last night (Monday, November 18).

The 82-year-old vanished from her home in Warrington. Police issued an appeal for help to trace her last night, stating that she may be 'confused'.

Tragically, the force confirmed this morning that a body had been found in the search for Carole. READ NEXT: Police issue update as two men killed in double stabbing are named The body was found earlier today near to the westbound slip road of junction nine of the M62.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, Cheshire Police said, but it is believed to be that of Carole and her family have been informed.
