Body of man pulled from Scots river as police launch ‘unexplained’ death probe

The body of a man has been pulled from a river in Fife sparking an ‘unexplained’ death probe by police. The grim discovery was made in the waterway close to Glenwood Road in Glenrothes, at around 3.05pm on Saturday December 11.

An investigation has been launched to determine how the man, who has not yet been named, died.Police Scotland have confirmed enquiries remain ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A force spokesperson said: "Police were called around 3.05pm on Saturday, 11 December, 2021 following the report of a man in water near Glenwood Road, Glenrothes."Emergency services attended and a man was pronounced dead at the scene."Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances
