"Blood-curdling screams" and cries of "don't do it" were heard as a 20-year-old man was hacked or stabbed to death with a machete in broad daylight.
Police have launched a manhunt for a killer who launched the terrifying attack at a block of flats in Wolverhampton late Monday afternoon.
The victim was found bleeding in the front garden of the building and was pronounced dead at the scene, sparking a murder probe.
Friends have said the victim lived locally and was the father of a young child. A resident of the building described hearing chilling screams and said a friend told him they heard someone shouting "‘no, no, don’t do it" around the time of the attack.
