The Rolling Stones‘ decision to continue as a band after the passing of Charlie Watts.Watts had been a part of The Rolling Stones’s line-up since January 1963 serving as a drummer.

His death was announced in August 2021 – shortly after he was forced to pull out of the band’s tour to undergo surgery, which resulted in complications.

He was aged 80.At the time of the drummer’s passing, Wyman shared a heartfelt tribute to his old bandmate. He wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Watts: “Charlie, you were like a brother to me.

In the band and in life. Rest in peace.”The band – comprised of Keith Richards, Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood – have continued on without their drummer of nearly six decades.
