The 32-time Grammy-winning artist approved the Harris campaign’s use of her “Lemonade” song “Freedom” in a campaign video and has since allowed the ticket to use the song throughout their campaign.
In addition, the singer previously endorsed the Joe Biden/Harris ticket in 2000, and she performed in support of Hillary Clinton four years prior to that, on top of performing at Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2013.
Harris is the evening’s keynote speaker, tail-ending a weeklong convention that will culminate with her accepting the Democratic Party’s nomination of her as the party’s presidential candidate in the 2024 election against former President Donald J.
