deadline.comCNN has landed the first interview with Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz since they became the Democratic presidential and vice presidential nominees.
Dana Bash will conduct the interview in Georgia on Thursday, with a primetime special planned for that evening, the network announced Tuesday.
Harris has not done a network sit-down interview since she launched her presidential campaign after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race on July 21.
Nor has Walz since she chose him as her running mate. Donald Trump has made an issue about Harris’ lack of media appearances, claiming that she has hidden behind scripted moments assisted by a Teleprompter.
