On Friday the epic new Summer Daze outdoor beach, splash park and fairground at the Trafford Centre opened for the Summer holidays sparking much excitement from families.

But by Saturday the attraction was forced to CLOSE thanks to the grim, not so summery, weather hitting the region. Families were left disappointed as the shopping mall announced on Saturday it was forced to close the outdoor Summer Daze event due to the inclement weather.

And then AGAIN on Sunday they made an announcement that it would not be able to reopen the outside area. This year's event has been eagerly-anticipated by families, just as we head into the school holidays.

New for this year is a toddler paddling pool alongside a giant splash pool, with water fountain, palm trees, wheel-shaped splash buckets and multiple water jets. After opening it all up on Friday, The Trafford Centre made the announcement on its Instagram feed on Saturday of the closure saying: "Due to the weather, our Summer Daze fair, beach and splash zones will not be open today." It added: "However, our roller rink located in the Orient is still open to enjoy!" This was followed on Sunday with yet more storm clouds over the entire region and more bad news for the event.
