Strictly Come Dancing fans said they were 'sobbing' as they became distracted by who was in the audience during the final. The 2024 series came to a sparkling end on Saturday night (December 14) after 13 weeks.

And it was Chris McCausland, who made history as Strictly's first blind winner, and dancer Dianne Buswell who were crowned winners on the night and were seen triumphantly lifting the coveted Glitterball trophy.

They beat Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley to be crowned the 2024 series champions. They included last year's champion Ellie Leach, 2018 finalist Joe Sugg, who is also Dianne's boyfriend and another former contestant Angela Scanlan.
