Strictly Come Dancing fans have said 'as if' as a new line-up was confirmed just days after the final. The 2024 run of the hit dance show came to a sparkling end over the weekend following the grand final.

The last live show of the series aired on Saturday night (December 14) and saw the four finalists perform three dances each as they hit the ballroom floor for the last time.

At the end of the night, it was Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell who emerged victorious as despite finishing bottom of the leaderboard with the judges' scores, the voting public got behind them and saw them lift the famous Glitterball trophy.
