Radio 2 presenter Vernon Kay has opened up about 'messing up' with his past ambitions to conquer America and hinted that he hasn't given up on the dream - and would consider moving away from the UK.The BBC presenter, married to Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly, shared that he would "like another crack at America" after three opportunities to work there slipped away, reports the Lancs Live.Speaking on the Changes with Annie MacManus podcast, the Bolton-born star was asked: “What is the change you would still like to make, either to your own life or to the world around you?"The radio star responded: "Well, flippantly, I'd like another crack at America because I think I messed up.
I did three network shows for America. I wouldn't say I messed that up. I think looking back, I was inexperienced.“I think, knowing, being more confident in myself and the way I work, I'd like another go at a game show in America.
That's a big change.Opening up he continued: "I doubt it'll happen, but that's the one thing where I'm like: 'Oh, it was right there."Vernon claims he had 'three chances' to make it big in the USA – with opportunities from notable networks, ABC and NBC.He added: "They lasted a series.
If you want a laugh, go on YouTube and watch a game show I hosted called the Million Dollar Mind Game. It's basically me doing an impression of Roger Moore. 'Good evening and welcome to the Million Dollar Mind Game.'"At 50, Vernon has built a remarkable career in television and radio in the UK.
