Apparently there are still people who don’t quite get the concept of movie magic. In an interview on BBC Radio 2 last week, actor Jude Law dropped the not-quite-bombshell revelation that the cottage featured in the 2006 Christmas movie The Holiday doesn’t really exist.
The interview – see it below – has since gone viral as at least some fans of the film seem brokenhearted. Law costarred with Cameron Diaz in the Nancy Meyers-directed rom-com about two people who find love in a country cottage in Surrey, England.
The cottage, looking like something out of a storybook, seems almost too good to be true. Because it was. To the surprised outbursts of “What?
What? What?” from the host of The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Law explained that, no, people can’t “Airbnb” the cottage because it doesn’t exist.
