Jamie Borthwick has been given a major boost following his heartbreaking exit from Strictly Come Dancing. Fans were outraged when the actor became the ninth celebrity to leave the show alongside pro partner Michelle Tsiakkas.

Jamie and Michelle landed in the dreaded dance-off for the first time during week ten of the BBC One dance contest and went up against Olympian Montell Douglas and her partner Johannes Radebe, who found themselves in the bottom-two for a second week in a row in a bid to keep their place in Strictly's 2024 series.

After both couples had resprised their routines from the live show on Saturday night (November 23), the judges unanimously agreed to save Montell and Johannes, sending Jamie and Michelle home.

Reflecting on his time on the show with co-host Tess Daly, soap star Jamie hailed Strictly as "magic" and praised those who work on the show.
