Jamie was the ninth celebrity to leave the show alongside pro partner Michelle Tsiakkas. At the time, they landed in the dreaded dance-off for the first time during week ten of the BBC One dance contest and went up against Olympian Montell Douglas and her partner Johannes Radebe.
After both couples reprised their routines from the weekend's live show, the judges unanimously agreed to save Montell and Johannes, sending Jamie and Michelle home just before the quarter-final.
Reflecting on his time on the show with co-host Tess Daly, soap star Jamie hailed Strictly as "magic" and praised those who work on the show.
