Dianne Buswell has shared emotional and wholesome updates to round off her triumphant year - which saw her win Strictly Come Dancing with her parents present in the ballroom.

The professional dancer was delighted when Mark and Rina made the trip from Australia to watch her perform live in the BBC One dance contest in person for the first time since she joined the hit programme back in 2017.

Dianne and her celebrity dance partner had the goal of making it through to week 11 of Strictly's 2024 series, the week after the annual Blackpool special, as that's when Dianne's parents would be in the UK.

However, they surpassed their goal and their own expectations as they ended up making it to the end of the competition where the comedian, who was Strictly's first-ever blind contestant and the dancer were eventually crowned Strictly's latest champions at the end of the 2024 series following the glittering grand final.
