Adele Roberts has shared an update after undergoing surgery to remove a tumour related to her bowel cancer. The BBC Radio 1 presenter revealed last week that she had been diagnosed with the disease a month ago after noticing symptoms.

On Monday, she had an operation to remove a tumour after and will now be examined to determine if further treatment is required.

In her first Instagram post since the surgery, Adele, 42, told her concerned followers on Thursday: ‘Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone.

You’ve been absolutely incredible! So kind, sending good wishes and looking after my family.’ Sharing an insight into her ordeal post-operation, she explained: ‘You are the greatest!
