BBC Breakfast turns 'tense' as Charlie Stayt makes brutal dig at 'grumpy' Naga Munchetty

BBC Breakfast got off to an awkward start during Friday (August 19) morning's programme after Charlie Stayt agreed that Naga Munchetty was "grumpy."Naga, 47, returned to the BBC studio after missing her regular hosting duties yesterday (August 18), leaving Nina Warhurst to join forces with Veteran Charlie, 60, on the red sofa.

But not long into today's show, fans spotted tension between the pair when they began reading the stories in the papers. Not missing the opportunity to make a cheeky dig at his co-star, Charlie agreed: "Well, you are actually. Yes. But carry on." Certainly not seeing the funny side, Naga shrugged and responded: "Well, I think it was fine to be grumpy at that point."Picking up on the "tense" atmosphere between the duo, viewers took to social media to question whether there is something deeper going on, as one penned: "WHAT is going on with Naga and Charlie?
