BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt forgets co-star Naga Munchetty's name in awkward blunder

BBC Breakfast presenter Charlie Stayt was left red-faced on this morning's (May 21) show after appearing to forget co-host Naga Munchetty's name.At the start of a segment, Charlie stuttered as he tried to introduce his colleague, saying: "good morning welcome to BBC Breakfast with Naga mmm Maga mm, before sighing and saying oh Boy."Naga grimaced during the awkward moment, before coming to his rescue by butting in and finishing off the introduction herself, saying "Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt".An embarrassed looking Charlie then tried to make amends for his blunder, asking "can we just start the whole thing again and we'll go right back to the beginning again?".Naga gave him a huge grin as she approved his request- telling him: "Ok right back to the beginning."He then introduced the segment again and was able to get his counterpart's name right this time.He said as he smiled at Naga: "Good morning and welcome to breakfast with Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt."BBC Breakfast fans rushed to Twitter to rinse Charlie for his blunder.One wrote: "Charlie forgot who he was working with for a second there."Another said: "Charlie just f***d up the intro."Earlier this week Charlie was praised after he caught out Deputy Prime Minister over the current fuel price.The broadcaster was heaped with support from viewers watching at home after he'd tried to trip over the Conservative party member over how much his own fuel had cost him.Charlie asked: "What's the highest petrol and diesel prices that you have seen on your travels?""Well in terms of diesel I'm not sure because I've chipped in my diesel for an unleaded but I think last time I went to the pumps it was about £1.65 for a litre of unleaded," added Mr Raab.Responding, Charlie.
