He was snapped Monday at the Gotham Independent Film Awards at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City Luhrmann credited Butler, 31, for his 'all-out' performances in the motion picture.'He did all the numbers,' the director said. 'Austin just did it and it was an out of body experience to watch him do those full concerts, so one day I will cut those full concerts together.' He said of the extended version: 'It's a directors' assembly.
It's not a cut.'Luhrmann said he and his crew went to painstaking detail in recreating Elvis Presley's concerts over the years.
