Barcelona have reportedly rejected Manchester United's improved offer for Frenkie de Jong. MEN Sport reported on Thursday that United were getting set to submit a new bid for the Dutch midfielder after their first one was turned down by the La Liga giants.

According to Marca, this next bid has already been rejected by Barca. They claim that United's second offer amounts to £56m, which the Spanish media outlet claims is not enough for the Catalan club to accept for De Jong.

Marca understands though that United are just £8m away from striking an agreement with Barcelona.
