Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has already backed Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia to make the step up and challenge himself abroad amid his impending move to Manchester United.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News on Wednesday, United have agreed a fee with Feyenoord to bring the Netherlands international to Old Trafford.

Malacia, 22, was very close to completing a move to French club Lyon, but United hijacked the move with a last-ditch offer on Tuesday.

The defender, who is currently away on holiday after representing the Netherlands in the Nations League earlier this month, will join United subject to passing a medical.
