A NHS trust has apologised and opened an investigation after she was born and discharged within six hours at the Whiston Hospital in Liverpool, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Her parents, Paul Jones, 36, and partner Zoe Cotham, 30, said they were not told of any problems with their daughter until after she was rushed to A&E.Cleft palates normally show as a slit between the lips and the nose, but can affect the soft palate muscles in the back of the mouth.Paul, from St Helens, said that the frightening episode.
