Formula One bosses are fighting to salvage the 2020 season after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix became the latest race to fall victim to the coronavirus pandemic.
The deadly disease has wreaked havoc on sporting schedules all over the globe and, prior to Monday's announcement, F1 had already called off the opening seven races of the season.
It was hoped that the Baku showdown, which was scheduled for June 7, would belatedly kick off the season. But Baku City Circuit promoters have now announced the postponement of their race, pushing the start of the 2020 season back to June 14 at the earliest.
