Assassin's Creed Mirage set in Iraq with Japan sequel in series' biggest shakeup yet

Playstation and Xbox in 2023, Assassin's Creed Mirage will be set in Baghdad, Iraq during the city's golden age in 861 AD. It follows Basim Ibn Ishaq's origin story from street thief to master assassin.

The game will reportedly ditch the open-world RPG elements which have characterised the three most recent Assassin's Creed titles since the release of Assassins Creed Origins.Ubisoft says the gameplay will be more focused on stealth and assassination as well as story, just like the early titles which closely followed the story of characters like Altair and Ezio.Ubisoft also made some huge announcements about an additional four Assassin's Creed titles.
