After a difficult start to the season - which saw the goalkeeper concede six goals in Manchester United's first two matches of the new campaign - David de Gea has started to show signs of him returning to the shot-stopper that has been lauded as the best in the world in recent years.
The Spaniard, who arrived at Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2011, has made nearly 500 appearances for the Reds during his time in Manchester, and has been considered the club's first-choice No.1 for a number of years.
His career with United has been full of ups and downs, and while he has won several trophies with the club, he has certainly endured his fair share of difficult moments, too.
In 2019, De Gea signed a new long-term contract with United, keeping him at the club until at least June 2023 - with the Reds having an option to extend it for a further year.
