Asda has launched a new campaign to get people talking and combat loneliness during the pandemic.Shoppers may spot delivery drivers wearing badges which say ‘Happy to Chat’ while customers in store can enjoy a chinwag with any employees wearing them.The badges have been launched as part of Asda’s new ‘Delivering Christmas Kindness’ campaign, which seeks to tackle loneliness in UK communities as we head towards the festive period.Asda says that 7,500 of its delivery drivers will now have the option to wear one of the ‘Happy to Chat’ badges - which could offer a simple, yet crucial lifeline to some of the loneliest people in the UK.The badges are not compulsory, so anyone who is wearing one has chosen to take the time to chat to customers..
