Asda announces delivery changes this week as 'things get back to normal'

Asda said it's making the move as “things are getting back to normal”.The move has been made in a bid to reduce Asda's use of plastic.Many other UK supermarkets are also attempting to reduce their plastic use as environmental issues become more important than ever.This week, the supermarket will start delivering shoppers’ online orders without using plastic carrier bags.Asda stopped offering plastic bags as part of its online orders back in 2019.However they were brought back in by the retailer at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic due to hygiene reasons.But Asda says bagless deliveries are returning as “things get back to normal”.Shoppers also won't be able to add plastic bags for an extra 40p to their orders.When preparing.
