Arsenal will reportedly confirm a new, long-term contract for youngster Bukayo Saka this week. The 18-year-old has been one of the Gunners' stand-out performers this season, playing 33 times in all competitions.
With his contract ticking down, boss Mikel Arteta was desperate to secure the services of Saka and the club are putting the finishing touches to the deal before an imminent announcement, report The Athletic.
The news will come as a timely boost to Arteta whose side have won the last two games after an initially difficult restart, losing at Manchester City and Brighton.
Arteta is also having to manage the uncertainty surrounding the future of top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is out of contract next summer.
