Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hinted that centre-back Pablo Mari could be out for some time after the Spaniard was injured along with Granit Xhaka in the Gunners' 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday.
Xhaka was taken off on a stretcher after just six minutes after appearing to twist his ankle, and Mari limped off shortly afterwards with what appeared to be an achilles problem.
Arsenal face Brighton on Saturday, and it appears unlikely either player will be fit to feature against the Seagulls, but Arteta appeared more concerned about Mari's injury when speaking to the media after the game. "They are getting assessed at the moment then we will know something more tomorrow morning," Arteta said. "Pablo's one didn't look very good
