Arsenal enjoyed some good news ahead of Thursday's Premier League clash with Southampton as Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira were back in training.

The defensive midfield pair have made an earlier than expected return following ankle injuries, which will be a much-needed boost as the Gunners bid to recover from two successive defeats since football returned after the lockdown.

With David Luiz, Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari all having signed new deals this week, Arteta was all smiles at Arsenal's Colney training ground, with things perhaps starting to look up as they bid to salvage their push for Europe in Thursday's trip to St Mary's.
