Arsenal remain at the front of the queue to sign Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes in the coming weeks. However, the Gunners need to act quickly to beat Napoli - and it's all because of Manchester City and their own transfer plan.
Brazilian publication UOL report Arsenal are in contact with Magalhaes' representatives and are ready to make an offer in the near future.
Lille are willing to accept €30m (£27m) for the 22-year-old's services, even if the deal consists of add-ons.However, Napoli may also swoop in late to land Magalhaes if they sell star defender Kalidou Koulibaly.City have already been busy in this transfer window, landing Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake in the past week.The Athletic say City could even spend up to £300m on players.
