murdering a 25-year-old cyclist in a "jealous rage" as she tried to sneak across the US border with a fake passport.Kaitlin Armstrong, 34 has been wanted in connection with the brutal murder of professional cyclist Moirah Wilson, 25 since early May.Armstrong had previously been in a relationship with cyclist Colin Strickland, 35, however, Wilson had previously had a brief, one-week relationship with Strickland while he was on a break from Armstrong. READ MORE: Mystery as missing woman, 64, found buried in shallow grave in her own back gardenOn May 11, Wilson was found shot dead at the address she had been staying at in Austin, Texas, after earlier telling a friend that she would be going swimming with Strickland.It was reported that when Armstrong found out about the brief relationship in January she "became furious and was shaking in anger".After CCTV showed her car in the area of the murder, she was charged and a warrant issued for her arrest.
However, she fled and has been on the run ever since.US Marshals have been combing the country for the flexible truant after she was last seen at Newark's Liberty International on May 18.This fleeting appearance came just the day after the Austin Police Department issued a warrant for her arrest.However, she was today (June 30) arrested in Costa Rica after six weeks on the lamb.After being stopped by police, she gave cops a different name which was soon found to be a lie.Eventually forced to give up her real name, cops soon found she was subject to an international arrest warrant.It was soon established that Armstrong had fled the country a week after the murder on May 18 using a fraudulent passport.She is now set to be deported to the US.To stay up to date with all the latest.
