Antony has issued a "sad" admission after scoring his first goal since leaving Manchester United. The Brazilian left United during the January transfer window to complete his loan move to La Liga club Real Betis until the end of the season.
Antony had made 14 appearances for United this term, including just nine under head coach Ruben Amorim, who replaced the manager who signed him - Erik ten Hag.
Before departing United, Antony had one goal to his name - which came against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup last September. More than five months later, the forward scored his second of the campaign and first for Betis in their 3-2 defeat to Celta Vigo in the Spanish top-flight on Saturday afternoon.
The defeat leaves Betis in 10th spot in the La Liga table. Soon after the final whistle, Antony posted a message on social media, where he expressed his "sadness" despite scoring his first goal since his move to Spain. "A day of many feelings.
