Anthony Joshua with many hailing it as ‘the worst atmosphere ever’ in Saudi Arabia. Back in April, promoter Eddie Hearn revealed he wanted the fight to go ahead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - where their September bout was fought - as he believed a home crowd in London could inspire Joshua to victory.
However, complications arose. Saudi Arabia made a mammoth site offer to host the clash at the Jeddah Super Dome, but it appears to have not paid off.
Many online have criticised the atmosphere, citing the lack of interest, noise and generally vibrant antics. His comment was backed up by Simon James Legg (@SimonJLegg_), who added: “This atmosphere is shocking! This is a warning to Joshua & Fury to never have it abroad if they eventually fight!
