Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Ange Postecoglou 'agrees' Celtic personal terms as next boss appointment edges closer

Ange Postecoglou has reportedly agreed personal terms ahead of being confirmed as Parkhead boss. The former Australia manager remains the red-hot favourite to become Neil Lennon 's permanent replacement for days and it appears the deal is on the verge of being completed.

It is now being reported that personal terms have been agreed between the 55-year-old and Celtic.The Scottish Sun claim that following an agreement over a compensation package with Yokohama F Marinos a deal has now been struck.

The deal looks to be confirmed in the coming days but the incoming boss will additionally have to self isolate when he arrives in Scotland due to Covid restrictions.
