Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Ange Postecoglou reunion. The Parkhead club have appointed the Greek-Australian boss as Neil Lennon 's replacement and he will start work as soon as his mandatory quarantine period is over.

A big rebuild is on the cards with the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Kris Ajer set to leave the club. A sporting director is expected to be appointed at Celtic but the new manager may also look to use his own contacts and a link has emerged to former Brighton and Huddersfield player Mooy.

According to Australian outlet SBS there is serious talk in Shanghai about an approach from Celtic for the 30-year-old. Mooy is currently playing for Shanghai Port but may well be keen on a return to Europe thanks to tough restrictions in the Chinese Super.
