AMY Winehouse's musical legacy is still making over a £1million a year for her family. The singer soared to superstardom from the jazz bars of London’s Soho and Camden to bagging six Grammy Awards.
But she famously battled drink and drug demons before her early death, aged 27, on July 23, 2011. Now, a decade after her death, Amy's music is still making so much in royalties that her parents Mitch and Janis Winehouse have three companies that handle income from her recording career and various spin-off projects.
The first called Openville Ltd which deals in ‘artistic creation’ shows it has nearly one million in the bank. In the latest accounts posted on March 26 for the business year ending 31 March 2020 the company which was formed in March.
