Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

The Britain's Got Talent judge drove more than 200 miles to visit her parents after receiving a "distressing" phone call from her step-father Leslie, 75.Amanda, 49, drove from her home in Richmond upon Thames, Surrey, to Cornwall to see him and her mum Judith, 71, on Friday.The star has said she's devastated that she had to do what she did, but her representative explained that it had been an emergency and that Amanda takes Covid rules very seriously.He told the Mirror: "Amanda is aware that all families are going through difficulty during these turbulent times but received a distressing telephone call from her elderly father on Friday.
