England's third national lockdown is underway and several businesses across the country have been forced to close as cases of the new coronavirus variant spiral.

As they are non-essential retailers, Argos and John Lewis are among shops that have been forced to close their doors during the third lockdown.

Non-essential stores, hospitality and personal care services must remain shut all over the UK until at least February 22. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the third nationwide shutdown on January 4 in an attempt to help stop the spread of the new Covid-19 variant.

While many stores will be closed during the lockdown, they will still be allowed to offer click and collect and home delivery services.
