Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Steven Gerrard's injury woes continue. Morelos had only come on as a substitute for Rangersin the first half for Brandon Barker, who had pulled up with a hamstring problem as he chased a through ball.He left the field after a sickening challenge by United defender Ryan Edwards that left him with a gash above his knee, and was replaced by Scott Arfield.Gerrard also brought on Calvin Bassey for Borna Barisic who reacted with fury at the tackle and was already booked.Referee Kevin Clancy is likely to face criticism as the United player wasn't even booked for the high challenge.Morelos was the fourth Rangers player to be injured today.
