Aldi and Waitrose are the latest supermarkets to enforce masks in stores in a nationwide crackdown on rule-breakers. The retail giants have joined Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda to ban shoppers who refuse to wear a face covering in a bid to curb the virus.

German discounter Aldi has warned customers who don't follow the new coronavirus rules will be turned away at the door from today.
