The man met his partner shortly after she came out of an eight-year relationship, and he says he got the impression that she was "never really over" her ex-boyfriend when they had first got together.
He says she seemed to move on over the years and when her ex-boyfriend moved back to the same city she didn't seem phased, and had even introduced the two of them.
The couple have now been happily together for four years and recently welcomed their first child, with the man saying they had argued back and forth about names for a while but eventually settled on one they were both happy with.
