Coventry Live reported.West Midlands Police said: "Our programme holds circa 50 breeding females of a variety of breeds and aims to produce over 100 puppies each year".While they are newborn pups, the pooches need to be kept with their mum at the station until they are eight weeks old.But after two months, the fosterer comes in, as the puppies will need caring for from this age until they are 14 months old.The four legged friends will need to have doggy training during this time – so their carer will need to be on hand to take them to and from their sessions. And every so often, the pups will also be brought back to the training centre and kept in a kennel for a number of days, so they can be trained there also.West Midlands Police said:.
