The announcement stated: "We apologise for the late notice, it was his hope that he would be able to continue with the show."The tour was set to wrap up in Edinburgh on December 8 and 9, after already being postponed due to the tragic loss of Liam Payne.The originally scheduled Edinburgh show on November 20 was moved to December 8.
A second date at the same O2 Academy Edinburgh venue, originally set for November 21, was rescheduled to December 9. Despite tonight's cancellation in Newcastle, there has been no information to suggest any changes to the Edinburgh dates.Zayn has now issued a heartfelt apology to fans affected by tonight's cancellation.The star wrote on a black background on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday night: "I'm so sorry to do this but my voice just isn't there at all tonight and without it there's no show.
I'm truly sorry to let you down, especially at such short notice... I held onto hope until the very last moment."I'm hopeful with some rest tonight I'll be back on stage tomorrow.
