Zayn Malik cancels concert just minutes before he was due on stage
ok.co.ukZayn Malik has left fans disappointed after cancelling his Newcastle gig just moments before he was due to take the stage.The former One Direction star is currently on his Stairway to the Sky Tour, which has seen him perform in cities including London, Manchester, Leeds and Wolverhampton, with the tour set to conclude in Edinburgh in a few days.
However, fans at Newcastle City Hall were left confused when an announcement over the tannoy confirmed that the show would not be going ahead reports the Mirror.
Fans were told: "Will no longer go ahead tonight. We apologise for the late notice, it was his hope that he would be able to continue with the show.
But this is no longer possible. Please contact your point of purchase for reschedule or refunds. If you have parents or guardians collecting you, please stay in the auditorium and wait to be collected." Zayn, 31, has since taken to social media to confirm the cancellation.
