Fireman Sam actor David Carling dies aged 55 just days before Christmas

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of actor David Carling, who has died at the age of 55. Known for his iconic role as the voice of Station Officer Steele in the beloved children's series Fireman Sam, David joined the show in 2008 and also lent his voice to characters such as Chief Fire Officer Boyce and Trevor Evans.

It has been confirmed that he sadly died on Tuesday, 10 December and heartfelt tributes have been flooding social media since the sad news was announced.

Just Voices Agency, where he was represented, shared a poignant message: "We are devastated to announce the tragic news that the wonderful David Carling passed away last Tuesday.

He was a much beloved father, husband, friend, actor and voiceover artist and will be hugely missed by everyone that knew and worked with him." A source previously told The Sun : "David died earlier this month.
