Body found in search for Scot who went missing just days after Christmas

A body has been found in the search for a missing man who vanished just days after Christmas. Police have confirmed that a body was discovered near to the River Tay to the south of Perth on Tuesday morning.

Formal identification is yet to take place however officers have informed the family of John McNeil. The 52-year-old was reported missing from Perth on Friday, December 27.
