Scot Mills started his new stint as host of BBC Radio 2's Breakfast Show this morning as pal Rylan Clark took a pop at him. Scott stepped in to the coveted role after it was announced in November Zoe Ball was moving on after six years on the show.

Scott, 51, spoke to Eurovision co-host and friend Rylan, 36, ahead of his debut. Former X Factor star Rylan jokingly raised concerns about Scott's new gig.

As they discussed the format fans can expect on Scott's new daily programme, Rylan said: "You really need to be on your game for breakfast, because it's that time of the morning. "You could be a little bit tired, you could press the wrong button, your finger could slip, you could say the wrong thing, not that I'm trying to scare you." Scott agreed with Rylan, who then reminded listeners of his Radio 2 weekend show that he'd seen first hand how Scott handled early mornings, adding: "No, I remember coming into your bedroom at Eurovision and your lovely husband Sam was there and I was like, 'Where is he?

I need him to tan my back'. "And you were, literally, I think crawling into the shower." Scott then hinted he'd been a bit under the weather after the Eurovision Song Contest as he went on: "Well that's because we had a night out, so that's not the same," he replied.
